1. This competition is for educational purposes only. 

 

2. Submissions will be used for the purposes of the competition only and the organizers will not be responsible or liable for any use or misuse by any third party. Submission cannot defame, misrepresent or contain disparaging remarks about UKM or its services, products or persons associated with UKM. The Organiser reserves the right to monitor or screen submissions.

 

3. Submissions are made expressly with a declaration that:

a) it is your or your team's original work;

b) it has not been previously published, or has received any previous awards;

c) it does not infringe any existing copyright, trademark, rights of privacy, publicity or other intellectual property or any other rights of any person or entity including rights over likeness or elements;

d) permission has been properly obtained from a person or entity whose name, image, depiction, likeness or voice is used in the submission; and

e) it does not infringe any law applicable in Malaysia.

 

4. Submitters agree to indemnify the Organiser from any and all claims, damages, expenses, costs and liabilities brought or asserted by any third party against or arising out of the submission, including but not limited to claims for trademark infringement, copyright infringement, violation of an individual's right of publicity or right of privacy, or defamation. 

 

5. Submissions cannot:

a) contain any profane, obscene or pornographic material or material that is violent or derogatory of any ethnic, racial, gender, religious, professional or age group;

b) promote banned substances such as alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco, firearms or weapons; 

c) promote any activities that may appear unsafe or dangerous;

d) contain trademarks, logos or copyrighted materials owned by others, that have been included without permission, or contain any personal identification, such as license plate numbers, personal names, email addresses or street addresses without permission; and

e) contain materials embodying the names, likenesses, or any identifiable images identifying 

any person, living or dead, without permission.
